Maternity and Birth Photography at Dallas Presbyterian Hospital

Baby Ashlyn was born at Dallas Presbyterian Hospital as beautiful as can be. Her mommy and daddy had a great time with me leading up to her birth. We photographed a beautiful party that was a coed Baby Shower which had a great theme and presented lots of sweet touches. The ladies enjoyed cupcakes that were designed by the guests, adorable baby girl props throughout with yummy foods and drink. The men had a cigar bar with a whiskey bar to celebrate this momentous occasion. Then we followed up with a great couple maternity photography shoot at the amazing Rosewood Crescent Hotel in Dallas Texas and finished up at the park down the street from the venue.

I love love love the teddy bear sculptures that we found for a very cool image of mommy and daddy pregnant and waiting for their little one! We also grabbed some onesies on a rope to have some fun with some more creative images on the bridge of the park.

The fun didn’t stop there! Mommy and I held another photoshoot of her beautiful belly in an elegantly creative stunning maternity session. The pictures were gorgeous and truly some of my favorites to date. Then to top off all the fun, we ventured over to the hospital just a few days later to experience Ashlyn’s birthday. She was born via a c-section and came into this world as a true miracle. Really the best part of my job is to have seen this stunning moment happen. Mommy and baby are beautiful, happy, healthy and made Daddy a very very proud man! Family came to meet this little angel and celebrate this fabulous day! Here is a slideshow with a small portion of the images to share. Enjoy it. Comments are welcome!

Floral Themed Baby Shower Styled by Rachel Events in Fort Worth at Brewed

When Bryna of Dr. Delphinium announced her pregnancy, Rachel of Rachel Events knew exactly how to put together her fabulous vintage floral themed baby shower. Perfectly designed with finger sandwich BLT’s and sweet potato fries served in adorable chevy striped packaging. An exquisite German Chocolate Cake with handmade fluffy flowers adorned complete with a vintage knife and server. The setting of Brewed is perfect for a relaxing cozy urban feel with ultra comfort of their guests in mind. The fact that Bryna is an amazing florist came into play on the design of her baby shower. Adorable cards were made with a sign “All new mothers need advice for their ‘lil’ seeds” was placed on the table for guests arrival to provide mommy with a bit of advice and little floral cards that were used to be planted in a soiled pot. The guests then left with the cutest mini ready to plant seeded pots with a “Just add water” sign delicately placed in the center. Striped vintage straws of course were used to serve the wonderful drinks that Brewed of Fort Worth served!! A perfect Baby Shower for a perfect mommy to be! Stay Tuned for Newborn baby pictures that Relive Photography’s Laura Parent took of mommy Bryna!

Relive Photography Offers Bridal Registry and Gift Registry

You have too many pots and pans?  Your grandmother handed down her fine china to you?  You already live together as a couple and have EVERYTHING you could ask for?  What do I tell my friends and family when they ask the big question?  Where are you registered?

On my wedding day I truly did not know what to do about a bridal registry.  Everyone asked and I had no answers.  After my own wedding had given me so much experience in finding great ideas and tips, here is one.   Choose Relive Photography as your wedding photographer and you can take advantage of our Bridal Registry.  We make it really easy for your gift givers to go online and securely purchase a gift certificate towards your photography package or products (ie. albums, prints, thank you cards, canvas prints, digital downloads, custom products and more) allowing you to get everything you want from your photography.

Why does this work so well?  Because you have the ability to offer your guests a way of purchasing a gift for you that is of sentiment.

Help! I registered for some really cool stuff, but now I’m not sure where to put that information on our invitations. Where do I list the stores where we’re registered?
Honestly? You don’t. While it has become somewhat commonplace to see this as part of the invitation package, etiquette says it is not acceptable. It may seem as though it is helpful info, but it appears as though you are saying, “Come to my wedding, bring a gift, and, oh, by the way, here’s where you can get it.” Keep the focus on what this day is all about: your wedding, not the gifts.

Instead, you could build a wedding website and include that sort of info there. Also, make sure your close family members (who will be asked) know where you are registered. They can tactfully pass along the info to those who request it.

What about the shower invitation, you ask? Well, that’s a different story. The purpose of that particular event is to “shower you with gifts,” so by all means, include all of that information in the shower invitation.  That is why Relive Photography understands how exciting the bridal shower is and offers your closest friends and family the option of purchasing gift certificates toward your photography products and packages.
