Deep Ellum Dallas Texas is a great location to be have a creative engagement photography session. Allison and Anthony were so adorable together and make a fabulous couple. We roamed the neighborhood to work with some of the streets artsy vibe and fun colors to use as a great backdrop for our photo session. I also need to personally thank Rod Baker of DFW Parties to utilize his amazing roof top view overlooking the Dallas Texas Skyline. Thank you so much Rod for being so helpful. Lauren and Brian are engaged to be married. We got together with their two amazing dogs to share in their very special artistic engagement photography session. We wandered through the streets of the Bishop Arts District in Dallas Texas to use the artistic surroundings of the neighborhood. Raven and Jerome are engaged to be married. This adorable couple has traveled to many beautiful locations and were engaged in Paris. So it made sense to arrange their engagement photography session at an airport. We had the privilege of using a very cool retro 1948 Cessna airplane as backdrop for the occasion at the McKinney Texas airport. We then went over to the beautiful Bella Donna Chapel in McKinney to complete the photos in a different setting! The Bella Donna Chapel is set in a wonderful location that gives the feeling as though you are in Italy. I love it and am so happy to shoot at this exquisite spot. Dallas Texas, Bishop Arts District – Engagement Photography Session on a chili day in Texas. Here is the sneak peak of the beautiful Brittany and Domingo. I met Brittany and her kind amazing mom while they interviewed me for Brittany’s upcoming wedding with Domingo. I immediately hit it off with both the bride and her mom and knew we were a great fit for their photography for their big day. I was so excited that Brittany’s family attended the session to help take care of their two little dogs that we had at the engagement session with us. So, of course I had to get them in a couple of the images as well. These guys were playful and adorable with each other and were just so much fun for Relive Photography’s day in Dallas Texas.

Turn a rainy wedding day into an artistic photography Trash your Dress Day. This couple had selected an amazing location for their wedding nuptials. The day of their wedding had rained and the stunning views that we had hoped to take advantage of on their wedding day were hidden by thick fog. So, when all else fails we found a way around that! Rachael and Chris had a blast at the Vermont’s fairytale legendary location of Trapp Family lodge. After climbing the mountain behind the lodge we came to a stunning old chapel that was perfect for this very occasion. We started our photography at the chapel and worked our way down to the landscape overlooking the grand mountains that surrounded the lodge. Spectacular spot. Wow. From Taylor of Longwood Events… Kristin and Scott were married at The State Room in downtown Boston this past September. Every detail of the day was designed and executed by the beautiful bride. She had a hand in the invitation suite, all of the decor, even the custom cookie favors, and no detail was left behind. The ceremony was an intimate candlelit service for fifty close friends and family. The beautiful music selections and heartfelt vows left not a dry eye in the crowd. The space was transformed with vibrant yellow kissing ball chair decor and a rustic ceremony arch with a stunning view of the city of Boston as the backdrop.
Working with Kristin and Scott over the year to plan their wedding showed us what an amazing couple they were. They incorporated their love of tapas into a customized menu for their guests that lent itself well to the rustic dinner party theme. The layout of long communal tables was a wonderful use of the modern space and gave them the intimate feel they were looking for. Her florals carried through her vintage theme with simple, tailored bouquets and various sizes of milk glass centerpieces on the guest tables. The entire day was a wonderful celebration of a beautiful couple!

On my wedding day I truly did not know what to do about a bridal registry. Everyone asked and I had no answers. After my own wedding had given me so much experience in finding great ideas and tips, here is one. Help! I registered for some really cool stuff, but now I’m not sure where to put that information on our invitations. Where do I list the stores where we’re registered? Honestly? You don’t. While it has become somewhat commonplace to see this as part of the invitation package, etiquette says it is not acceptable. It may seem as though it is helpful info, but it appears as though you are saying, “Come to my wedding, bring a gift, and, oh, by the way, here’s where you can get it.” Keep the focus on what this day is all about: your wedding, not the gifts.
Instead, you could build a wedding website and include that sort of info there. Also, make sure your close family members (who will be asked) know where you are registered. They can tactfully pass along the info to those who request it.
What about the shower invitation, you ask? Well, that’s a different story. The purpose of that particular event is to “shower you with gifts,” so by all means, include all of that information in the shower invitation.
