Here is where it began – Groom proposed in New York City’s Central Park- one of the couple’s most favorite places to be. The Bride was clueless- although the couple was in NY celebrating their anniversary/Bride’s birthday/Valentine’s weekend, the Groom threw her off completely. They went iceskating in Central Park, strolled the paths and finally found a great spot- at the top of a hill near a mini-waterfall. It was VERY cold that day, so as they sat on the rock, the Bride put her head on the Groom’s shoulder and the Groom jumped up for fear that the Bride would put her hand in his pocket– where the ring was! The Bride still had no idea what was to come, but the Groom finally went down on one knee and proposed. The Bride, while still in shock, said YES and now a year later, they got Married! Where? Alden Castle in Brookline MA – With Who? Amazing friends and family Why? Because of their obvious love!
The celebration was filled with vintage style wedding details everywhere. Alyssa is very talented and put together many of the unique details to be sure that her touch was throughout. She alone was stunning and she created a stunning event as well. Alyssa and Joe exude love… Joe was amazing at speaking to everyone about his clear admiration for his new bride. I often cry at weddings when I am touched by a couple and this was certainly one of those days. (I am so happy to be hidden behind my camera on these occasions-lol) I am so proud to have been a part of this beautiful day and event. Here is a sneak peak of images of their day. Turn a rainy wedding day into an artistic photography Trash your Dress Day. This couple had selected an amazing location for their wedding nuptials. The day of their wedding had rained and the stunning views that we had hoped to take advantage of on their wedding day were hidden by thick fog. So, when all else fails we found a way around that! Rachael and Chris had a blast at the Vermont’s fairytale legendary location of Trapp Family lodge. After climbing the mountain behind the lodge we came to a stunning old chapel that was perfect for this very occasion. We started our photography at the chapel and worked our way down to the landscape overlooking the grand mountains that surrounded the lodge. Spectacular spot. Wow. A wedding day filled with family and love – Ron and Cindy exchange vows and witnessed by their six grown children. Ron has two daughters and one son, and Cindy has two sons and one daughter. I was so thrilled to be a part of this wedding and to see these two blended families come together as one. It was clear to me that both Ron and Cindy were very close to their kids and made them a huge part of the day. Each one was addressed during the ceremony and with lots of happy tears were brought together and welcomed by their new step parents.
The bride and groom and their kids got ready at the beautiful Hyatt Hotel in Newport RI. Cindy and Ron had their first look overlooking the yachts and bridge parked outside of the Hyatt. From their we got these two married and joined their reception at Belle Mer. Soft pretty yellow and white accents filled the room and made a fabulous party for everyone to enjoy. Thank you Ron and Cindy for having me as your photographer for your family wedding event. Congratulations.

From Taylor of Longwood Events… Kristin and Scott were married at The State Room in downtown Boston this past September. Every detail of the day was designed and executed by the beautiful bride. She had a hand in the invitation suite, all of the decor, even the custom cookie favors, and no detail was left behind. The ceremony was an intimate candlelit service for fifty close friends and family. The beautiful music selections and heartfelt vows left not a dry eye in the crowd. The space was transformed with vibrant yellow kissing ball chair decor and a rustic ceremony arch with a stunning view of the city of Boston as the backdrop.
Working with Kristin and Scott over the year to plan their wedding showed us what an amazing couple they were. They incorporated their love of tapas into a customized menu for their guests that lent itself well to the rustic dinner party theme. The layout of long communal tables was a wonderful use of the modern space and gave them the intimate feel they were looking for. Her florals carried through her vintage theme with simple, tailored bouquets and various sizes of milk glass centerpieces on the guest tables. The entire day was a wonderful celebration of a beautiful couple!
