The Chateau at Coindre Hall Wedding Photographer – Samantha and Eric are Married

The Chateau at Coindre Hall in Huntington NY… Artistic Style Wedding Photography – A Wedding Love Story as they tell it –

Many many years ago, Samantha and Eric were just a couple of goofy looking Junior High School students with a crush on each other. While both of us were obviously too busy being cool to admit it, this is, in all likelihood, the place where our souls first met. So, without much more than a few exchanged glances and friendly converation between us, the years passed. Graduation came and went and the start of college was an exciting new path; first for Eric and then a year later for Samantha. Through a series of personal and family situations, we both unknowingly ended up enrolling in the same local college. The first semester at this school was hard for both of us. All of our friends were away at school, and we were pretty lost. One of Samantha’s classmates insisted on introducing her to his football buddy “Rick”. He thought that we would get along great because he said we were both “so funny”. Samantha reluctantly agreed, and allowed herself to be dragged across the plaza to meet this mysterious funny man. From a great distance away, Samantha noticed her old time High School Crush, Mr. Eric Tarr, standing there, waving at their now mutual friend and Eric sees her too. We allowed ourselves to be introduced, and playfully shook hands. This was the beginning moment of what we call our “first” romance. The next few months were spent falling in love and being together for as many waking moments as possible, this is where our hearts first met. In a few months time, they both found out that they had bigger priorities than being in love, and so they parted.

Years passed, 5 to be exact, and during this time, each of them lived a very different life. Eric joined the Police Academy and Samantha was accepted into the Culinary Institute of America. Life went on for both of them, but they were never able to forget each other. Strangely, they both admited to having dreams about the other one periodically for years after they had been apart. Finally one day, more than 5 years later, they listened to what their hearts had been saying, and decided to catch up. Feelings came rushing back to them the moment they locked eyes again for the first time, and they knew, soon after that, that they had found their missing pieces, and this time they wouldnt let go.

Samantha and Eric spent the next part of their lives together split between Hyde Park, NY and Long Island. Eric would drive up to visit Samantha at CIA on his days off and would spend as much time as possible together exploring the Hudson Valley and basically having the most fun ever. After Samantha graduated, she moved back to Long Island. With both of them working full time now, they had a little money to spend on taking trips, trying new restaurants and doing exciting things. Eventually, they decided that the best thing they could do with their money would be to get an apartment together. In a few months they found an apartment in Queens, signed the lease and counted the days until they could move in. They were elated to finally have their own place! Everything was perfect and they were still living on that high, when Eric took Samantha for a little drive upstate, to where they first fell in love, and proposed to her on a beautiful fall night in front of the Vanderbilt Mansion in Hyde Park.

Style Me Pretty featuring Photography by Relive Photography by Laura Parent

Relive Photography was featured in Style Me Pretty and could not be more excited.  Here is what they said “When you pair a seriously stylish Bride, Longwood Events and the beautiful venue that is State Room – you are bound to get a wedding that will wow. And this wedding WOWS. From the gorgeous couple to the gorgeous views and all the details in between – Relive Photography captured all the details planned to perfection by this gorgeous new Mrs. which makes for a gallery that could not be more beautiful.”

From Taylor of Longwood Events… Kristin and Scott were married at The State Room in downtown Boston this past September. Every detail of the day was designed and executed by the beautiful bride. She had a hand in the invitation suite, all of the decor, even the custom cookie favors, and no detail was left behind. The ceremony was an intimate candlelit service for fifty close friends and family. The beautiful music selections and heartfelt vows left not a dry eye in the crowd. The space was transformed with vibrant yellow kissing ball chair decor and a rustic ceremony arch with a stunning view of the city of Boston as the backdrop.

Working with Kristin and Scott over the year to plan their wedding showed us what an amazing couple they were. They incorporated their love of tapas into a customized menu for their guests that lent itself well to the rustic dinner party theme. The layout of long communal tables was a wonderful use of the modern space and gave them the intimate feel they were looking for. Her florals carried through her vintage theme with simple, tailored bouquets and various sizes of milk glass centerpieces on the guest tables. The entire day was a wonderful celebration of a beautiful couple!

New York Botanical Garden Orchid Dinner at Mandarin Oriental NYC

This past Wednesday evening, the New York Botanical Garden‘s annual Orchid Dinner honored Tiffany & Co. for their foundation’s decade of support as the Founding Sponsor of The Orchid Show.  David M. Handy Events designed a jaw-dropping table for Tiffany & Co. and was the talk of the evening.  Orchids were draped throughout the table adorned with drips of the iconic Tiffany & Co. blue gift boxes and white ribbon.  This was a celebration for Tiffany & Co.’s  as they are about to celebrate its 175th anniversary.

Boutique owner Laura Vinroot Poole‘s table, executed with John Lupton, Andrew Thomas and Leontine Linens, was an explosion of color. And I of course loved the orange monogramming on the napkins!
